Is cleaning it really that easy?
Yes, it’s really easy. You lift out the strainer. Dump the used leaves (or compost them). Rinse under the tap. Takes about ten seconds.
What kind of tea can I use?
Any kind of loose leaf tea:
- Green tea
- Black tea
- Oolong tea
- White tea
- Herbal tea
- Flowering tea (this looks especially beautiful through the glass)
The only thing we'd skip is powdered tea into the teapot like matcha. That's too fine, so it'll go through the strainer holes.
How do I know when the tea in the teapot is ready?
You watch it through the glass. Green tea gets pale yellow-green. Black tea turns amber. Herbal tea develops color slowly.
When it looks right to you, press the button. There's no wrong time. Some people like stronger tea, some like it lighter. You decide.
